Can now be found on Anne Bishop’s web site (along with the summary I posted months ago that vanished from her site shortly thereafter.)
And I already have a favorite line. From “Shades of Honor,” the third story in the collection:
“There were predators and there were Predators—and even among the Predators, Lucivar Yaslana was a law unto himself.”
Oh, but do I love me some Lucivar Yaslana!
My worry is still very much present; actually, it’s increased due to the absence of a snippet from the last story, “The High Lord’s Daughter” – I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that it’s not what I think it is (however naive that may make me seem.)
Twilight’s Dawn will be on shelves on March 1st.

i had heard a rumor long ago (pre- Cassie) that there would be a story about Janelle being pregnant, now the first summary and title may support that? And if that is the case if the last one is what it seems to be… meaning Daemon takes over after Sataen’s death then perhaps that title refers to HIS daughter and forging new connections because of her?
Gives me hope if that might be the case….
The snippet from the High Lord’s Daughter may scare some people. But may I remind people that Jaenelle is a member of the short-lived races. Maybe that story happens after her life has been everything it could be with Daemon. Jaenelle’s natural life may have just ended. It still seems scary, but when I first read that, I assumed someone killed her, when that doesn’t have to be the case.
oh man I just read the the like synopsis for it and im not sure what i feel, i just yeah its not suprising but it is. does that make sense?
its full of spoilers, but heres the link. Seriously if your now ready to read it dont you may not be happy, i think im like, on the middle ground with that.

So, I am so happy about reading this new book, now I am really terrified (I know it may sound silly). Is Saetan and Jaenelle really dead? What happened to them having children? I love Luicvar and Marian to death, but I am really tired of Lucivar and Marian having blissful, happy endings that never seems to stop while Daemon and Jaenelle still struggle? I won’t lie. If Saetan and Janelle are out o the picture for good I don’t think I will be reading these stories anymore. It’s sad, but true. Jaenelle is part of the short-lived races, but still the SaDiablo family, including Jaenelle and, yes, Surreal, makes this series awesome! Who doesn’t like Surreal? Lol
Ok, now I officially have to say that I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BOOK FROM anne bishop EVER!!!!!!! Really?!?! Wtf? Ughhhhh….. Yes, I read the spoilers because I had to and I am thoroughly glad I didn’t waste my money. Really? “The High Lord’s Daughter” is NOTHING I would EVER expect from Anne Bishop! So, now everything is bull***** from the previous novels, expecially the trilogy! What a way to annihilate a marvelous series! And to think……was a loyal fan! I’m a grown woman, yet I was pretty much jumping up and down with excitement about this new book, especially with JUST getting off of work about two hours ago to go buy the book. Yeah, right! What a way to punish the fans. Oh, wait! I got it! This is a prank, one of the character’s or more nightmare, namely Daemon’s! There’s going to be another REAL Twilight’s Dawn book and the events in “The Highlord’s Daughter” never took place! I will hold on to that forever if I have to.
After reading a chock-full-of-spoilers review over at Dear Author, I made the decision to not buy or read Twilight’s Dawn; it’s for the best that I don’t. If another Black Jewels book is released that predates the events in TD I’ll get it.
Yea…I still do not have words for this book. I argued with my best friend (who introduced me to the books) for hours over about this ending. It was disgusting to watch the characters I love change for the worst. I did not understand why Anne Bishop created such an amazing FICTIONAL story only to destroy it with real ideas. I am perfectly fine with Jaenelle dying but to die without having children? Also to be the most powerful Witch ever and not find a way to live and be with the one you love? I cannot even discuss the Surreal situation. I think the thing I hate most is a lot of people like it. They argue that this was not a “romance novel” and it did not necessitate a happy ending. My question: then why was the Surreal pregnancy/romance at all necessary? Answer: Daemon needed to be anchored to life in order for him not to throw the world out of balance (good-evil). My response: wouldn’t a life with Jaenelle have done that or a child with Jaenelle?
This book wounded me in many ways. I respect your choice not read it. I wish I had not read it or read the review of it. The story ruins years of wonderful books that have been my escape. Thankfully I can compartmentalize. I will reread the first trilogy many times to cleanse my mind.
