For one very simple reason. The beauteous book below landed in my mailbox yesterday.
Folks, I cannot even tell you. Except, maybe, to say that if anything could bring me out of the dark ages also known as not being able to engage with a book to save my soul, it’s Toby Daye (and company). A huge, HUGE thank you to Seanan McGuire.
I also owe my heartfelt thanks to Rachel Neumeier. The House of Shadows has proven to be another torch, bringing me out of the darkness, and I hope to have a review posted in the new future. In the meantime, if you haven’t read The City in the Lake or The Floating Islands, click on either title to read my review, which will basically suggest that you pick up a copy asap.
So…Expect a few more tumbleweeds to roll around these parts, but I’ll soon be pushing them off to a distant dry land.

Books save us. That’s all there is to it.
This make me happy. I’m beside myself with anticipation for this book! Needless to say I’ll be waiting with bated breath for ASHES OF HONOR to land in my lap and to your, as always, lovely review of it
