Review Policy

Job-related reading consumes a great deal of my off-the-clock time; as a matter of course, the books that fall into this category take precedence. Best effort will be made, however, to review titles received from publishers and authors in a timely manner. It is possible that not all books received – solicited or otherwise – will be reviewed.

My preference, always, is to be sent print books: finished review copies, ARCs, or even bound-by-a-string galleys. I will consider eBooks – especially from authors whose work I’ve previously read in that format.

Regarding ‘request for review’ emails: If I am able to accept your offer of a book for review, I will respond shortly after receiving your email.

Side Note: All of the ARCs I receive – well, those designated for YA at least – end up in the hands of teen readers, whether through the book group I co-facilitate, handing it to an eager teen reader at my library, or what have you, and they always, always make the rounds based on excited word-of-mouth promotion. So, basically, they’re put to good use one way or another, and a love for reading is shared and spread!
